Dr. Brandin Gwinner is a newly registered optometrist in Alberta and British Columbia. She was born and raised right here in Drumheller. She went to pursue her undergraduate education starting at Red Deer College and finishing at the University of Alberta in Edmonton, where she received her Bachelor of Biological Science and Bachelor of Secondary Education. She completed her final teaching practicum at the local DVSS, where she once attended as a student. Dr. Gwinner achieved her Doctorate of Optometry at the Southern California College of Optometry of Marshall B. Ketchum University in Fullerton, California. She has returned to Drumheller to be closer to family and friends, and is excited to be back home to jumpstart her optometry career. She is known for being very outgoing, and loves traveling the world, exploring new food/drink, staying active, and socializing with new people. Dr. Gwinner provides comprehensive eye exams, diabetic and ocular health assessments, fittings for hard and soft contact lenses, emergency services, and referrals/co-management with ophthalmology for specialty services like cataract or laser refractive surgeries.
