For Sight Vision Centre Has Been Serving Drumheller for 25 Years

Optometrist

Dr. Kostelecky is a registered optometrist in Canada and the United States. He was born in North Dakota, Obtained his Doctor of Optometry from Pacific University in Oregon and came to Canada over Twenty years ago. He settled in Drumheller for the opportunity to work in a practice that served a wide diverse population. He has raised his family in Drumheller and volunteers with the Knights of Columbus and minor hockey. He is an avid sports fan and most people know him for his love of the Green Bay Packers. Dr. Kostelecky provides full eye services including eye exams, vision health assessments and care, referrals and follow-ups for ophthalmology services such as cataracts and laser eye surgeries, emergency services, contact lens fittings and education.

Optometrist

Dr. Brandin Gwinner is a newly registered optometrist in Alberta and British Columbia. She was born and raised right here in Drumheller. She went to pursue her undergraduate education starting at Red Deer College and finishing at the University of Alberta in Edmonton, where she received her Bachelor of Biological Science and Bachelor of Secondary Education. She completed her final teaching practicum at the local DVSS, where she once attended as a student. Dr. Gwinner achieved her Doctorate of Optometry at the Southern California College of Optometry of Marshall B. Ketchum University in Fullerton, California. She has returned to Drumheller to be closer to family and friends, and is excited to be back home to jumpstart her optometry career. She is known for being very outgoing, and loves traveling the world, exploring new food/drink, staying active, and socializing with new people. Dr. Gwinner provides comprehensive eye exams, diabetic and ocular health assessments, fittings for hard and soft contact lenses, emergency services, and referrals/co-management with ophthalmology for specialty services like cataract or laser refractive surgeries. New developments Dr. Gwinner is considering bringing to For Sight are anti-fatigue and/or myopia control contact lenses.

Optometrist

Dr. Crouse is happy to be returning back to his hometown of Drumheller where he spent most of his childhood. Dr. Crouse obtained his Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and Psychology at the University of Alberta graduating in 2015. He then went south of the border to Oregon to study optometry at Pacific University. In his spare time Dr. Crouse enjoys time with friends and family and playing sports like golf and hockey. Dr. Crouse is happy to see patients of all ages for any of your vision needs, and looks forward to seeing you at your next exam.

Canadian Certified Optometric Assistant

Kayla has brought three years’ experience prior to joining the For Sight Vision Centre Team, in December 2014. Kayla has successfully finished in receiving her license for becoming a Canadian Certified Optometric Assistant, and is now taking on the challenge of achieving her Optical Science Diploma through the college of Nait. She has become a great member of our team; interacting with patients and explain lens design benefits comes naturally for her. She is involved in all aspects of the office, with her honest enthusiastic approach helps in making your shopping experience a positive one, and is always ready to take on any new challenge.

Canadian Certified Optometric Assistant

Tammy is originally from Hanna, AB but has called Drumheller home for over 30 years. She brings with her many years of office experience and has recently finished her course at becoming a Canadian Certified Optometric Assistant which has helped her become more familiar with all aspects of Optometry. Tammy is eager to assist all patients, young and old, with any aspect of the office and enjoys seeing familiar faces from her hometown.

Optometric Assistant

Alisha has returned to the optical industry after taking a break to raise her three active children. She brings back four years of experience from completing her Optometric Assistant Course. She is excited to be back and looks forward to assisting patients with all their optical needs, whether it is helping patients with the perfect frame and lens choice, training in contact lens wear or even just a simple frame adjustment.

Optometric Assistant

Amanda has been a part of the For Sight Vision Centre team since November 2015. She is involved in all aspects of the office including pretesting, contact lens fitting and lens selection. She also enjoys picking out the right frame to ensure the best new look for our patients. Amanda has had Lasik Eye Surgery and is a great advocate when considering having this procedure, she is happy to tell you about her experience. Her Friendly attitude and keen observations will make you feel right at home.

Lab Technician

Mariel joined For Sight Vision Centre in February 2015, and has taken on the role of our Lab Technician, and enjoys all tasks of working in our lens lab. Mariel can also be found pretesting, to prepare you for your exam with one of our Optometrists.

Accountant

Linda has worked for For Sight Vision Centre for many years and has lived in Drumheller even longer. She is the accountant and is happy to assist customers.
